A 360-degree survey is about quickly gathering scene information to plan entry and stay safe. It focuses on environmental factors that affect operations: identifying hazards like heat, smoke, and obstacles; spotting potential collapse zones to avoid during entry; and locating hidden compartments or void spaces that could hide fire, fuel, or occupants. The medical status of occupants isn’t determined in this stage because diagnosing who is injured, conscious, or in need of immediate care is handled by search-and-rescue and medical teams once contact is made or as the incident unfolds. So occupant medical status is not typically identified during the 360-degree survey.
